Glamming up the afternoon

Glamocracy: McCain Realizes That Tax Cuts Don't Necessarily Cut It

I mean, I'm not glamorous or anything right now because I found out after I finished writing Crappy Hour that management cut off the hot water this morning to "facilitate" repairs without bothering to notify me, but something else I wrote is up on Glam.

47 million is such a Democrat's number. What they don't tell you is that over 20 million of those ppl are uninsured by choice and clear $150K a year each.

@Ed: Bullshit, 47 million is the Census Bureau's number. And I've been one of them because I couldn't afford to be otherwise. Besides, even if you're right... is 27 million acceptable? One-tenth of Americans? No way. But I doubt there are 20 million self-employed people clearing $150K a year, since if you clear that much, you generally have a job that provides you with insurance.

Megan, I don't know if you've seen today's Health Matters over in Market Watch, but I thought about you as I read it and figured I'd pass on the link.

Megan,
I think the Census Bureau report you're talking about is p60-231. According to page 22, Table 8, almost 10 million of those 47 million are not citizens and another 17 million make more than $50K. So yeah, I was off on my 150K but 47 million is still a BS democrat number. As with everything else in politics, it's not a much of a crisis as the Dems say and more of a problem than the GOP will admit.
