My type

So, there's a website that will analyze your writing to determine what kind of person you are on a Myers-Briggs scale. This is what it said about this blog:

ESTP - The Doers

The active and play-ful type. They are especially attuned to people and things around them and often full of energy, talking, joking and engaging in physical out-door activities. The Doers are happiest with action-filled work which craves their full attention and focus. They might be very impulsive and more keen on starting something new than following it through. They might have a problem with sitting still or remaining inactive for any period of time.

UPDATE The Gender Analyzer thinks that there is a 63% chance that I am a dude.

I'd say you follow through. Typalizer told me that I was a Mechanic/ISTP, though my actual real personality test tells me I'm an INFP, The Idealist (the one who seeks diplomacy and peace, great at writing or psych, and generally peaceful and nice until some injustice really fucking pisses me off -- and I become a pit bull).

Anyway, the ISTP:

The independent and problem-solving type. They are especially attuned to the demands of the moment are masters of responding to challenges that arise spontaneously. They generelly prefer to think things out for themselves and often avoid inter-personal conflicts.

The Mechanics enjoy working together with other independent and highly skilled people and often like seek fun and action both in their work and personal life. They enjoy adventure and risk such as in driving race cars or working as policemen and firefighters.

Shockingly, my personality type changes with each individual post I enter, although they all have me pegged as an introvert. I'm betting that reflects my bad habit of writing in the passive voice.

And if there's a 63% chance you're a dude, I guess there's a 63% I'm gay. Which is up from the 41% chance at which I'm usually pegged.

Myers-Briggs notes a tendency for Americans to sort themselves out by gender lines, so that men are usually T's and women are usually F's (this is the only pair that is sorted out this way).

I am an INTP. Or, I was the last time I checked, it was a million years ago.

I don't remember what INTP's are supposed to be good at. Not much of anything, I think.

Also, @rptrcub: ISTP was what MacGyver was.

Haha; still an INTP:

The logical and analytical type. They are especialy attuned to difficult creative and intellectual challenges and always look for something more complex to dig into. They are great at finding subtle connections between things and imagine far-reaching implications.

They enjoy working with complex things using a lot of concepts and imaginative models of reality. Since they are not very good at seeing and understanding the needs of other people, they might come across as arrogant, impatient and insensitive to people that need some time to understand what they are talking about.

But then I put in a different post about how I hate Carlos Mencia, and it said that I am an ESFP.

I don't even know how a program like this could analyze I/E or J/P pairs, anyway.
